Brunette to Blonde

As women we seem to always want to change what god gave us.  It’s human nature. I’m the worlds worst offender. I think I’ve had every hair colour under the sun in my time. My biggest choices nowadays is going brown with extensions or staying blonde for my next set. I love the play with colour that extensions give you and also the short to long hair and back again transformation. ❤️❤️

The biggest job as a hairdresser I think is the brutnette to blonde transformation and Usually it seems it’s the one that clients understand the least. You may think it would be a simple ask and some hairdressers will gladly burn hair to death to get the colour transformation  as close as they can but really it should always be done gradually over time and also nowadays with some of the products you can add like olaPlex and smartbond really there’s no excuse for extreme damage anymore.

The best example of a brunette to blonde I’ve enjoyed watching evolve to perfection was that of Khloe Kardashian. Her transformation over the last few years has been truly beautiful... and her hairs conditon clearly is spot on.

Some might say that’s easy for a millionaire to achieve but usually a good stylist will offer a product like olaplex or smartbond for an extra minimal cost and trust me it’s worth it. I swear by the L’Oréal smartbond step 1 and 2 in salon added to colour and the step 3 take home product. My clients love it and the difference it makes is night and day. It can also be used as a stand alone treatment to repair damaged hair whether it be from heat or over processing.

If you’re considering the big change then remember the condition of your natural hair should be paramount. Be prepared to invest in the process. It may take anything from between 2-5 appointments to reach a blonde depending on the depth and tone of your hair. Don’t ever Just take a hairdresser at their word if they say it’s a one stop process and if you’re not happy shop around.
